Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy uses specialized cups placed on the skin to create gentle suction. Unlike traditional massage, which applies pressure to the muscles and other soft tissues, cupping lifts the skin, fascia and muscle layers. This decompression may help increase blood flow and improve soft-tissue mobility.

Cupping may be used to help:
-
Reduce muscle tightness and stiffness
-
Relieve chronic soreness or discomfort
-
Improve flexibility and range of motion
-
Make movement and exercise more comfortable
Cupping is a safe, noninvasive technique that may provide relief, particularly when used as part of a personalized physical therapy and rehabilitation plan.

Cupping may leave temporary circular discoloration on the skin. While these marks can resemble bruises, they are caused by increased blood flow to the area and typically are not tender. The discoloration generally fades on its own.
